At High Impact, we created this animation as part public service announcement, and part marketing video. We wanted to impress audiences with the drama of a car crash and show off our work portraying the resulting injuries.
I worked on creating and rigging the characters in this fictional family. The base characters were fitted with clothes from Fuse, textured with Substance, facial expressions rigged, shaded, and tweaked in Maya. We split the hair work among three artists, and I got to build the son's spiky hair with xgen.
The forensic team did a phenomenal job animating the cameras, vechicles, glass shatter, and characters, and simulating the father being thrown out of the car with realistic motion. The medical animation team seamlessly repurposed injuries we had built for other cases onto the final position of the father. The whole team's effort came out to a fantastic final animation.
